Men’s Health Week is an annual campaign dedicated to raising awareness about men’s physical and mental health.

In 2025, it runs from 9–15 June. The week encourages men to take charge of their well-being, seek medical advice when needed, and break the stigma surrounding health issues.

Why is Men’s Health Week Important?

  • One in five men dies before the age of 65.

  • Four in five suicides are by men, with suicide being the leading cause of death for men under 35.

  • Many men delay seeking medical help, leading to late diagnoses of serious conditions.

 

Common Health Concerns for Men

  • Heart Disease – Leading cause of death among men.
  • Mental Health – Many men struggle with depression and anxiety but don’t seek support.
  • Cancer Awareness – Prostate and testicular cancer are major concerns.
  • Diabetes & Obesity – Lifestyle changes can help prevent these conditions.
 

How to Get Involved

  • Wear Blue Day (13 June) – A symbolic initiative to raise awareness.
  • Attend the surgery for a health screening– Encourage regular check-ups for early detection.
  • Start Conversations – Break the stigma around men’s health and encourage open discussions.
